Daniel Embree makes prints and paintings that emphasize the motion of the human figure and that incorporate personal symbols to tell a story.
He received a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from Brigham Young Univeristy in 2009. During a residency at the Vermont Studio Center in 2010 he created his most recent body of work featuring men in suits and tuxedos.
Embree has exhibited work in the Springville Museum of Art in Springville, UT, the Fitchburg Art Museum in Fitchburg, MA, and in gallery spaces in the Midwest, Utah, and Massachusetts, including 13 Forest Gallery in Arlington, MA.
He currently lives in the greater Boston area with his husband, Michael Barber. He is working on a master's degree at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts.
